Connecting to hotspots

Cox has over three million hotspots across the United States that are included in every Cox plan. When in range of a hotspot, select either CableWifi or CoxWifi and follow the prompts to connect your device.

Rebooting your Cox equipment

You can reboot Cox routers and TV receivers through the troubleshooting section of the Cox mobile app. You can also reboot equipment manually, by briefly unplugging the device and re plugging it in. Generally allow 10 minutes for the router to reboot.

Go to the Cox ACP Program website. Sign in to your Cox account if you’re already a customer or confirm if Cox internet is available in your area. If you’re an existing Cox customer, select Log in and get started, sign in to your Cox account, then select Apply now.

UPDATE: The Affordable Connectivity Program will stop accepting new applications and enrollments on February 7, 2024. Consumers must be approved and enrolled with a service provider by 11:59 p.m. ET on February 7th to receive the ACP benefit.
